The First mechanical computer was created by Charles Babbage in 1822. It was called the difference engine and it was capable of ‘computing’ several sets of numbers and making hard copies of the results. Because of financial reasons he wasn’t able to create a full scale version of the machine. In 1991 the London science museum completed the machine with the Difference engine number 2.
