The beautiful village of Beynac is situated on the banks of the Dordogne river. When walking through the steep and narrow streets you think you have quantum leaped to the middle ages. On top of the rocks is the Castle, where scenes of Jeanne d’Arc (Luc Besson, 1999) were filmed. It’s a perfect destination if you like kayaking, castles, foie gras and duck.
This photo was taken around midnight, the place was deserted at the time. I was there the afternoon before but it was so crowded that post-processing the people out wasn’t possible.
