I came across these spooky ruins when driving around in the Dordogne, France. It’s from the 1500s and was made into a monument in the 1920s. In the war it was burned down by the Germans, and it has been in disrepair since.

As a child we had French movies of Louis de Funes on our vhs-system, and it was fun to find out that one of his movies was filmed in this castle. You can still watch the movie ‘tattoo’ (1968) on youtube.
