This picture was shot into the sun, and I used lightroom to lift the shady parts. In the original picture the face of the girl was not visible. I love digital photography, but I do understand the charm of the analog days. Generally you had to work harder both in the field and in the development room. The margin of error was smaller because of the amount of time and work it cost to shoot pictures. Is it better these days? I think so, but to understand optics it’s smart to start with analog photography.
